Ever before endured someone give you bad news? What about good news? What’s the big difference or is there a difference? brim
Good news – stuff or information that produces us happy, content, reassured, secure and validated.
Unfortunate thing – the opposite.
Thus, apparently there is a difference between negative and positive news – read on.
Perhaps you have ever become bad news in the end things turned away well or better than you anticipated? Have you ever received very good news and over time what you thought was good information became not so good?
From personal experience I actually can tell you which i have experienced all four –
Great news that was good.
Unfortunate thing that was bad.
Great news that My spouse and i thought was good but ended up being bad.
Not so good news that I thought was bad and finished up being good.
Baffled yet? Well I know that over time I actually was often uncertain of the difference between these two apparent opposite communications. But then I discovered that sometimes bad reports well for someone can be perceived as very good news for someone else and that good news to a single person over time can be perceived as bad.
Confused? Allow me to explain.
Found in the end it’s just news and what makes it bad or good or even neutral is not the news itself but how we see it, judge it, assess it or react because of computer.
How can someone perceive unfortunate thing as good you might ask? Or perhaps the opposite, how could someone perceive good news as bad?
Basically – each of us has a unique history, experiences, beliefs and values and therefore not one of us ever see exactly the same thing or circumstance in the same way.
Someone who is a worrier, negative, pessimistic or intolerant might see a wait as bad when another person who understands the concept of there are things we can control in addition to things we cannot control so why get all upset about something you can’t control or if you can control it get busy.
Found in the end exactly what happens – just happens and what we do is interpret it all primarily based on our expectations, goals, needs or mindsets and all of these are unique for every single of all of us.
Let me give you a handful of personal examples. And if you will consider the explanation even if you may well not have had exactly the same circumstances, if you will think it over I’ll be you can relate.
Before to staring my speaking and training career I used to be a national sales director for an international business. Long story but the short side is We had an issue with my boss, the leader and because of this he terminated me. Bad news, right? Well that was all Required to decide it was time for you to get started a career that has survived over 40 years and has allowed me to see the world (25 countries to date) and work with some incredible clients and audiences. Thus in the end this bad news was actually good news.
Here’s another quick one.
Years ago My spouse and i proposed to my partner and she said certainly. Good news right? (No judgments here please). Good over time after doing my best for more than fifteen years I actually decided it turned away time to end it and why? Well, without the gruesome details, the relationship was slowly but surely eroding my self-esteem, confidence and optimistic mindset and i also decided that My spouse and i didn’t like who I actually was becoming because marriage. We parted, amicably – but we parted. Very good news as I was able – over time – to regain all I had lost – emotionally and spiritually.
